The first thing you’re going to want to do is visit the GMapTool website, specifically the USA OSM Topo Routable page. There is a line for “ability to add maps,” if you have a check there, you’re good to go. If you already have a unit and want to find out if these free maps work, go to the unit’s page on the Garmin website, and then check out the “specs” section. If it maps come with the unit, it will say it has “preloaded topo maps.” You probably know this, but if you’re shopping for a GPS, go to the Garmin website page for the unit. After a sea skirmish in the late 13th century, Polo was captured by the Genoese and tossed in jail. He returned home to find Venice at war against the Republic of Genoa, and took up arms on behalf of his homeland. When Marco Polo returned to Europe in 1295, his adventures were far from over. HE DICTATED HIS LIFE STORY TO A ROMANCE WRITER DURING A STINT IN JAIL. Over the course of two decades, he travelled around 15,000 miles both on land along the Silk Road, and by sea, coming across parts of Asia and, if some highly controversial (and possibly forged) maps are to be believed, visited parts of the Alaskan coast hundreds of years before Vitus Bering. Marco Polo left home at age 17 and didn’t return to Venice for 24 years. HE TRAVELLED 15,000 MILES OVER THE COURSE OF 24 YEARS. Niccolo and Maffeo returned to Europe where they picked up the young Marco Polo and somehow procured the oil, but not the 100 Christians, requested by the emperor, before journeying East again. Curious about European religion, Kublai Khan apparently requested that the travelers bring him 100 Christian men from whom to learn more about the religion, as well as some holy oil of the lamp in Jerusalem. In some ways, Marco’s journey was a bit of a sequel to Niccolo and Maffeo’s original adventures: The two older travelers had befriended the great Mongol emperor and told him about Christianity, the Pope, and the Church in Rome. Before Marco embarked on his journey to Asia, Niccolo and Maffeo Polo had already travelled to China and met with Kublai Khan. In fact, he wasn’t even the first Polo to visit China. While his book, The Travels of Marco Polo, brought knowledge of the Far East to the European world, Marco Polo wasn’t actually the first European to visit China. HE WASN’T THE FIRST EUROPEAN TO EXPLORE CHINA. It was likely the first time the young Polo had left home as well as the first time he’d met his father and uncle, who had been traveling the world since Marco’s birth. In 1271, Polo left home with his father Niccolo and his uncle Maffeo, and set out for Asia, in hopes of reaching the court of Kublai Khan. Marco Polo wasn’t yet a seasoned traveling merchant when he embarked on his great journey east. Here are 15 things you might not know about Marco Polo. But as amazing as all that may sound, it only scratches the surface of the bizarre and exciting life of the traveling merchant. In the influential work, The Travels of Marco Polo, he outlined the geography of Asia, described the customs of its people, and told tales of life at the court of legendary Mongol emperor Kublai Khan. When he returned from his adventures, he brought back stories that helped introduce Europeans to Asia, and contributed to demystifying the largely unknown continent. It does not store any personal data.Born in the Republic of Venice in 1254, Marco Polo was a trader, traveler, and adventurer, who (probably*) journeyed to Central Asia and China in an era when vast swaths of the world were still uncharted and just traveling to a neighboring town could take you days. But I actually cannot explain it how I got lucky again this time. Just want to report back that some how I managed to add the new boot entry I want using efibootmgr successfully. Post added at 07:09 PM - Previous post was at 01:46 PM. So, first I must get hold of a *working* user space tool that allows me to manipulate the boot entries. I read that some version of Asus firmware provides interface to add boot entry but unfortunately not my UEFI BIOS firmware. boot/efi/EFI/boot/boot圆4.efi (as per UEFI specification) boot/efi/shell圆4.efi (as suggested by ArchWiki) Some how it only does that for removable-devices, like thumbdrive. As I said before, the version of Asus UEFI BIOS firmware that I currently use does not automatically add a new boot entry when a new bootloader efi or shell efi is installed in the ESP of the disk. I have already read the article in ArchWiki before you posted. When I have time tomorrow, I will see whether I could use Windows BCDEdit to create a new boot entry. I have not upgraded my UEFI BIOS firmware in between my posts in this thread. I don't believe I just got lucky *again* with Win7 installer. Both tests return non-zero exit status silently. I repeated my "efibootmgr -c" test case just now and it still failed. So, I don't believe for my case it is really caused by nvram not enough space. I have also just installed Win7 on my /dev/sda5 with the "Windows Boot Manager" (bootmgfw.efi) installed on /dev/sda1 under /EFI/Microsoft, the Win7 installer also successfully added a new boot entry for Windows Boot Manager permanently. If I hook up my bootable external drive, thumb-drive, and put in Fedora installation media into my DVD at the same time, they are all dynamically added as new boot entries in the Asus UEFI boot manager. But I know one thing for sure, my nvram still has room for more boot entries. I am not expert enough to understand all the stuffs they spoke off in the bug reports. Last edited by GoinEasy9 17th May 2013 at 05:37 PM. Leaving these around will eventually prevent new UEFI variables from being created."Īlthough I find my /sys/fs/pstore/ directory is empty. They are saved in UEFI NVRAM, which is a very limited resource. "Additionally, ABRT should delete these files from the /sys/fs/pstore/ directory. Could it be that there was a bug in the ASUS UEFI code, or, could it be that NVRAM was cleared during the update? I considered clearing CMOS on the motherboard, but, I figured that would happen once my experimenting was over, and, I was sure I could use efibootmgr in rescue mode.Įdit: Or, could I be the victim of what is explained in the first post of this bugzilla: The first bugzilla link mentions that updating the ASUS UEFI bios solved the problem for some. 21.5 Repair Bladed Weapons with Whet Stone (FNV).21.4 No Grabbing of NPC Owned Items (FNV).21.1 Courier's Stash Pack Distribution (TTW).20.4 FNV Realistic Wasteland Lighting (FNV).20.2 Old World Blues Path Lighting (FNV).19.2 EXE - Effect teXtures Enhanced (FNV).18.4.4 IMPACT - Compatibility Edition (FNV).18.3.7 Weapon Retexture Project - WRP (Christine's COS Rifle) (FNV).18.3.2 2019 Detective Special TTW patches (FNV).18.2.3 Single Shotgun reretexture (FNV).18.1.13 Weapon Enhancement Project (FO3).18.1.12 Throwing melee weapon retexture (FNV).18.1.10 Retextured Fallout Ordnance - RFO (FNV).18.1.3 Combat and Chance's knife retexture (FNV).18.1.2 Cleaver and Chopper Retexture (FNV).17.2.11 HR Armored Vault 101 Jumpsuit (FO3).17.2.10 HR Armored Vault 13 Jumpsuit (FNV).17.2.9 Wasteland clothing Hires retexture (FNV).17.2.8 The Legacy of X13 - An Armor Overhaul (FNV).17.2.6 Realistic Pip-Boy Retexture (FO3).17.2.5 NCR Trooper Overhaul - Distributed (FNV).17.2.2 ALR - Aptoms Legion Retextured (FNV).17.2.1 Mono's Updated ADAM Package (FNV).17.1.8 Book of Steel - Compatibility Edition (FNV).17.1.7 Enclave Power Armors Retextured (FO3).17.1.5 Bornagain Outcast T-45d Power Armor (FO3).17.1.4 Bornagain FO3 T45d Power Armor (FO3).
I started playing this game using my new Call of Duty controller (the one with gray body and gold trim) and there was massive flipper delay using the triggers or the LB/RB buttons. One thing I did discover is that the flipper response is entirely dependent on the controller. But as someone who has seen every episode of South Park at least 4-5 times I am no stranger to repetition and these tables always put a smile on my face.Īs mentioned in past pinball reviews, Pinball FX2 seems to play just a tad better with smoother table panning and more responsive flipper action on the Xbox One versus Zen Pinball 2 on the PS4. Admittedly, some get very repetitive, especially on the Super Sweet table where it is entirely too easy to keep dropping the ball in Stan’s blue chute triggering the same lines and romantic music cue. Garrison as well as all the boys and girls. Butters is such a central character to the show now that they could have easily created two tables worth of content.īoth tables are loaded with sound clips from the show including favorite lines from Chef, Crabtree, and Mr. Professor Chaos even gets his own mini-pinball table if you can manage to trigger it. While all of the content is centered on Butters the rest of the cast makes frequent cameos in homages to episodes dealing with Professor Chaos, the Coon, the one where Butters infiltrates the girls slumber party to steal their “future telling device”, and my personal favorite, Good Time With Weapons. His table is a bit simplified but no less elegant with plenty of gold rails that elevate the ball above numerous ramps and curved lanes that all lead to targets and mission goals. Butters is the breakout character of the cast, even achieving his own dedicated episode, so having South Park: Butters’ Very Own Pinball Game was only logical. If you are wondering why Butters got his own table, then you haven’t been watching the recent seasons of the show. South Park: Butters’ Very Own Pinball Game I was really torn between playing from the 1W view to see all the content and playing from view 5 or 6 where I can actually get high scores. The sad thing is that there are only two or three camera angles that actually give you a good view of this back screen, and none of those are particularly good for playing pinball due to their low angle that makes it way too easy to lose track of the ball. The one thing I loved (and hated) about this table is that for the first time Zen Studios is making some interesting use with the vertical back panel of the pinball table, which features a large movie theater screen with always-changing images, based on your current goal in the game. Eventually the ball will drop down onto the table where you will find plenty of ramps, targets, bumpers, and lanes that all relate to various characters, and moments pulled from episodes of the long-running series. Simpson chase episode Kenny rams the ball into action from the highway launch chute right into a miniature South Park Cows football field where you try to keep the ball in play for as long as possible with dedicated flippers. South Park: Super Sweet Pinballįirst up is the Super Sweet Pinball table that encompasses the entire cast, as well as key locations from the fictional city of South Park. Zen is known to throw in some 3D animated character models in their licensed tables but seeing as how this show is created from virtual construction paper, they do a great job with 2D characters that pop-up much like a shooting gallery target. This time they are taking on those adorable scamps from South Park Colorado in a two-table pack that features South Park: Super Sweet Pinball and South Park: Butters’ Very Own Pinball Game.īoth of these new tables exemplify the very essence of South Park with bright bold colors and 3D constructs for the various thematic elements from the show. Zen Studios keeps cranking out the hits when it comes to DLC tables for their highly enjoyable and totally addicting Pinball FX 2 game for the Xbox One. AKA don't touch anything but what I wrote above, unless you want to configure further. DO NOT GO ABOVE 245! This is hidden for a reason and the program will crash itself if above this.ĭo not use the encoder H265, leave the config file to use 264 as it's already set. Change ONLY the encoder bitrate to your hardware machines speed, resolution to your hardware machine's screen, then set the max_bitrate to a little less than MAXIMUM of your VM's speed. I will attach my config below if you would like to test it. It also in my eyes, looks much better but that might be to me using the maximum limit. This command forces the encoder to use no less than whatever you set it to per second, without the hard penalties of the max_qp command if you're familiar with it. This led to my image being CRYSTAL clear, like you wouldn't believe me. Upon discovering an old post on this very forum from years ago, I found out a hidden command calledĪfter commenting everything out from my config and adding this line on the HOST machine (the virtual machine), I set it to 245 because my speed is over 1gb/s on my Azure machine. I have tried everything, absolutely everything to get decent quality. If you are familiar with how bitrates work in OBS or a recording program, you'll be right at home here. I've already spoken to the devs, they are finally adding information on the website about these but it turns out there are a few more hidden commands that can be uses in the Config file that's not listed on the website. EDIT: Upon testing the latest versions of Parsec, they STILL do not have the command added, what the heck? Adding encoder_min_bitrate = 100 for me is still required and works perfectly for those wanting a clear image ^.^ Once you understand the market well, you will be able to identify odds that are skewed from your implied probability, giving you a positive EV over time. The best place to find value is to specialise on niche markets, where the playing field is more level between bookmakers and bettors on an exchange. When the odds in the model differentiate widely enough compared with a bookmaker or other user on an exchange, this is perceived EV. Traders should aim to build their own handicap models, generating their own implied probabilities of a betting market. If you placed £10 on the coin landing on heads at 2.15, the EV is calculated likewise:īy running the calculation again, the EV for a United win becomes + £5.60 for every £50 staked. If however you were offered odds of 2.15 for the coin to land on heads, this is a value bet. This would result in an EV of 0 for either a Head or Tail - because the probability of the two outcomes is the same, so if you tossed a coin infinitely it would theoretically end up all square. Assuming the coin and the toss are fair, each outcome (heads or tails) has an equal probability of 50% - therefore the odds offered on a fair market would be 2.0. Let’s use a coin toss as an example of calculating expected value. (Amount won per bet * probability of winning) – (Amount lost per bet * probability of losing) The formula to calculate expected value for betting is fairly simple: All bettors should be aiming to identify betting value with every bet they make. Positive expected value (+EV) implies profit over time, while a negative value (-EV) implies a loss over time. In betting, the expected value (EV) is the measure of what a bettor can expect to win or lose per bet placed on the same odds time and time again. Expected value is a predicted value of a variable, calculated as the sum of all possible values each multiplied by the probability of its occurrence. This article explains how to calculate and measure expected value, and shows how it can be used to find value bets. Whether you're betting with a bookmaker or on an exchange, calculating the expected value of a trade is fundamental. Okay, that last one is true anyway, but the first two are pure Disney magic.įor several years, Frozen Ever After has been one of the most popular attractions at Walt Disney World. And it’s one that transports you to another place and time, one where you’ll believe that snowmen can sing, sneezes can become babies, and sisters can overcome all. To you, it’s just another little boat ride at Disney akin to It’s a Small World and Jungle Cruise. The theming of Frozen Ever After is so great that you take the log flume part for granted. It just so happens that you’re floating through the magical realm of Arendelle, whose crown princess is a weather witch of the highest order. You board a log flume, and then you float down the water. You’ll see that they clearly list Frozen Ever After as a log flume ride, which it totally is. You can look at the Wikipedia list again. The full journey of this log flume ride is both cartoonish and epic in scope. She has the worst luck, and it’s totally understandable why only Horse gets an affectionate kiss in the end. The real victim in all of this is poor Nell, who once again gets kidnapped and tied to a log. You join him in the quest to bring the mustache-twirling villain to justice. The conceit of Daredevil Falls is that you're heading toward an abandoned sawmill, and it's not going to end well for you. When you board this ride, you'll hear the tell-tale squeaking that lets you know what you're about to do. Developed in 1998, it has the squishiest seats in the industry, and somehow that adds to the fun. This log flume bridges the gap between the old school and the newer versions of the concept. A 1997 roller coaster named Alpengeist seems like it’s going wreck into the building only to turn away at the last second. My favorite part is that when park planners scaled up Busch Gardens Williamsburg, they honored the placement of Le Scoot Log Flume. You’ll bump up against the walls more here than on the other eight rides here combined. Your vehicle has a bit more freedom to bounce around, causing more tilting during the ride experience. It’s unique due to its larger than normal aqueducts. Le Scoot Log Flume – Busch Gardens WilliamsburgĪnother log flume from the 1970s, this one debuted in 1975.
